How Donations Work

Tri For The 22 does not collect or process charitable donations. Donation links send visitors directly to the independent nonprofit organization selected by the donor.

Tri For The 22 does not issue charitable receipts, control donated funds, or determine how a beneficiary organization uses donations received through its own platform.

Merchandise is sold through Bonfire, an independent third-party store — 100% of net profit is paid by Bonfire directly to Mighty Oaks Foundation or Veterans and Athletes United, with the specific beneficiary noted on each item in the store. See Shop for the store.

A separate, non-fundraising store is sold through Exray on For The 22's own site. This one is not a fundraiser for Mighty Oaks Foundation or Veterans and Athletes United — 100% of net proceeds go directly toward the mission's own costs (equipment, training, and campaign expenses) instead. Campaign sponsorship and in-kind athlete support (see Partners & Supporters) are separate from charitable fundraising. A sponsorship or in-kind contribution supports the campaign directly — it is not a charitable donation, is not tax-deductible through Tri For The 22, and does not pass through any beneficiary organization. Charitable donations continue to go directly to the beneficiary organizations, as described above.

Some campaign promotional items — challenge coins, patches, stickers, and similar merchandise — may be provided in-kind by supporters. None have been sold yet; if and when they are, proceeds first repay the providing supporter's direct costs, with any remaining profit split evenly between Mighty Oaks Foundation and Veterans and Athletes United.
